Alabama set up its first road checkpoint to check the immigration status of drivers, in a Hispanic area of course. I am sure it will be fine

In what is reportedly one of the first instances of "checkpoint" operations between the Department of Homeland Security and a state police agency, more than two dozen people were detained within the past several days.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey confirmed to Fox News Digital that she directed the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) and other cabinet agencies to "work closely with ICE to catch criminal illegals."

Ivey praised ALEA’s work on a particularly lucrative "bust" in Russellville, which saw at least 20 people detained.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, ALEA confirmed that operation in which agency troopers conducted drivers' license checkpoints in Franklin and Colbert counties, where ICE special agents were present.

Apparently, you've never driven on I-5 between Oceanside and San Onofre CA. Camp Pendleton Marine Base is on both sides of the freeway and the northbound lanes are all blocked at a permanent immigration check point that has been there for more than 50 years. There is a similar checkpoint near Truth or Consequences, NM. Feel free to howl at the moon some more.

Also in Texas. This is Alabama.

This OP is complaining about checkpoints to combat ILLEGAL immigration. I find it comical that this uproar exists while there have been checkpoints at AZ and CA statelines to prevent the importation of FRUIT and VEGETABLES by citizens from one state to another. I see the need for both, just thought it was amusing how the left howls at one but not the other.

Amazing how Alabama is still able to come up with ways to make itself more of a shithole

Suddenly traffic on the highways drops by 60%.

15th post
As long as the people of Alabama are fully beholden to the republican party their status will not change
With fewer illegal aliens to run over and traffic children, take low-skilled entry level jobs from Americans and burden their social services, how could it help but be less of a shithole?

Are Democrats going to send some other demographic with such propensities to take their place?

You'remaking no sense!
