Swapped out Original Romanian Wood & Installed Faux Phenolic but unsure if I should go all the way with the Faux Phenolic Grip ( or leave Black Plastic Grip because it matches Trap door Butt Plate and sling swivel ??? ) what do you folks think

The brown one looks kinda-sorta like an Polish grip so I would go with that.

I bought a Polish AK the other day that had a Archangel stock set on it so it could be a lot worse. ;)

Lucky for me the blister pack the Archangel set came in contained the Polish laminate stock set the AK came with. I replaced the p-grip with a wood grip I dug out of my Box-O-AK parts.

BTW....Is that an airsoft AK? Something is way off about it....Lacking a front trunnion rivet for starters. ;)

Magpul is the new Tapco. Mine was assembled in Texas, using Hungarian parts. I'm not happy with the stock, it's a little heavy and I'd like to replace it with something that folds.

I added the muzzle brake. Just about every picture I've seen of AKs being used in Ukraine has one on it, and it does help with the accuracy a little. I also replaced the original trigger with an ALG Defense enhanced trigger.

A have a ALG trigger on a Polish build, I really can't tell the difference between that and the G2 trigger other than it's the "straighter" version. I came with it so I never removed it.

Check out the Soviet slab-side mag.

You can get anything you want these days but I prefer the OEM wood for whatever flavor of AK it is.
I have a (Romanian Sidefolder WASR 22 ) (Original Black Proprietary Plastic furniture unmolested or Tapco Fucked early AKT -98 )( Early WASR 22 with Romanian Military Wood Furniture ) ( New in box unfired RAK 22 with Original Romanian Wood ) and the pictured RAK 22 with 10+ Year old no longer manufactured rare Faux Phenolic Furniture in my Romanian 22LR AK collection

As Far as AK/AKM goes I have my Bucket list rig 1960s Chinese Type 56 “Spiker “ AK built on a “ Bringback “ Frontend and Arsenal 26 Front Trunnion and My Guns ( Talent Oregon ) Type 56 receiver with correct Chinese characters / markings due to Norinco / Poly Tech AKs banned for California . If I were really loaded I would have a Type 1 ( early variant ) Russian AK built from original parts the way I did my Type 56 …

Not happy with the pull on my PSAK. So I have been shopping around.
My OEM trigger has a nice sharp break, the poundage is a little heavy but not annoyingly so, but it feels like a half an inch of pull before the break. I have been shopping for something else. There are some attractive drop in units, but I am not sold on them.
