Video shows Southwest pilot taking sobriety test on jet bridge before DUI arrest
A Southwest Airlines pilot, pulled out of a cockpit and arrested on allegations that he tried to fly while impaired, blamed nicotine pouches when police told him he smelled of alcohol, according to law enforcement video released on Thursday
I worked for American Airlines corporate medical offices, and I can HONESTLY tell you that working ALL employees personal files, 99.99% of ALL pilots are heavy drug users AND alcoholics. Stewards are mostly alcoholics, but some are also drug users, but not as many as pilots.
This is the "norm" of these jobs.
So keep that in your head next time you decide to step on a public plane!!!!
And if you are wondering............while I was working the medical records there...........
No arrests on any records I saw. But they ALL HAD to be registered with a professional rehabilitation center, therapist, or specialist clinic in order to keep their jobs.
Which was a waste of time and money all the way around, because as soon as they "graduated" the rehab programs, they all relapsed into their old habits again. And the whole process started over again...............and again...............and again.............etc...
