Parkland shooter gets life. No closure for families, more expenses for taxpayers.

Nicholas Cruz is 24, and could live in prison for another 50 years. At $50,000 per year that's $2,500,000 in today's money.

"Closure"?

Sorry, but if someone murdered my daughter there would never be "closure"...

Most state prisons have done away with solitary. It's considered cruel and unusual punishment.
Never seen a Super Max I guess?

Locked-down 23 hours with one out in a dog pen.

We have two here in Virginia but all major institutions have a variation of the same where they are held till a cell at a Supermax opens-up.

Pelican Bay is our Supermax. It's one of the few prisons that I haven't visited. I was reading an article recently about doing away with solitary and the detrimental effect the loss had on the prisoners.
