Above Suspicion (“Criminal Intent,” Season 2) is a British crime drama which, in 2011, examined the introduction of a new substance, fentanyl, to the illegal drug trade. I recently watched it on a DVD from the library.
The duo of DI Anna Travis (Kelly Reilly) and DCS James Langton (Ciarán Hinds) follow leads after the murder of a crooked ex-cop to stem the spread of the drug with the street name “Drop Dead.” But they lose this first battle against fentanyl, an omen of things to come in real life.
