I could argue 'made it effective' ....But limited tariff reform was a Dem idea.
Although I think the Dem version was limited to closing out De mimimus.
For the record, I agree with doing away with de minimus---although I'm pretty sure I'd have skipped on putting tariffs on the world

Biden's tariffs didn't send our Treasuries -- the single most important security on the planet -- off the rails and onto thin ice.

Biden didn't precede that by insulting, mocking, intimidating and threatening our (former) trading partners and allies, destroying longstanding relationships around the world.

Comparing Trump to ANYONE is absolutely absurd and intellectually dishonest.

And with wall to wall negative press, many, probably most Americans aren't getting the full story. Those of us who look for real information have a much more balanced view of what is going on. Yes it is painful when we see our 401Ks or IRAs taking a significant beating. But Trump has been right in the past on these more dramatic controversial issues so I will give him benefit of the doubt for now.

If China and the EU come to their senses and decide to deal which I suspect they most likely will, the market will come roaring back and we'll see those poll numbers soaring again. Americans can be pretty fickle in their perceptions sometimes.

America cannot continue to be the world's useful idiot and piggy bank forever and remain a world power. Trump knows that and is the first President to have the courage to do something about it.
