About 1.5 million UK citizens live in the EU. They have the same rights as the other citizens of the EU state they live in and can also vote in local elections. With Brexit, what happens to them? About twice that many citizens of EU states live in the UK, but it is a much smaller percentage of the population, given that there are about 450 million people in the EU without the UK and only about 60 million people in the UK. Except for Poland, most other EU states have less than 200 thousand people living on the UK, a manageable figure.
Surely, some of the EU citizens will leave as they are working for EU institutions that will be removed from the UK. The European Banking Authority, the European Medicines Agency (like the U.S. FDA) etc. Other EU states are vying to host the agencies now based in the UK.
What happens to the healthcare of the Brits living in the EU. They now can use the healthcare systems of the other EU state, will they be able to continue to use those systems.
Sounds very complicated.
