I'm around 70 now. I remember 50 years ago how democrats were always the party of doom. I particularly remember the constant droning of, "Republicans will take seniors' social security away". They have always had nothing for themselves, just blurting out the fear of why you shouldn't vote Republican. It was never why you should vote for them.
