Trump Signs Bill to Strengthen Presidential Transition Ethics Requirements

The bipartisan legislation also has requirements for GSA and other federal agencies.

On Tuesday President Trump signed into law a bill to clarify the General Services Administration’s responsibilities during changes in presidential administrations as well as require presidential candidates to publicly release ethics plans for their transitions before elections.
The “2019 Presidential Transition Enhancement Act” (S. 394), amends the 1963 Presidential Transition Act to improve the transfer of executive power between administrations. GSA, presidential transition teams and federal agencies will now have new obligations in the lead-up to Election Day and during the ensuing change in administrations.
The nonprofit Partnership for Public Service, which recently launched a center housing presidential transition information and resources, has been following the bill closely as it has helped craft similar legislation in the past, and praised the bipartisan effort.

trump signed in to law the ethics transition requirement bill he is now violating. I guess he can't claim ignorance of the law. Then again, it's feasible that he had no idea what the bill did when he signed it. But he did enjoy holding bills up for all the world to see with that weird signature. As if to say, "look Mom, I did a boom-boom in the pottie."

OMG. Who gives 2 fucks?
Bingo. That's the attitude he wants you to have. "So he's breaking the law, so what?" You make for an ideal trumple.

Admittedly, it's not his most egregious violation of law. That was the coup plot.

donny is SO ... special.

If he's breaking the law, why doesn't Garland indict him, dumbass?
Why bother? He's going to get out of two federal, criminal indictments. You don't think he could slither out of this one?

OMG. Who gives 2 fucks, and you didn't prove he violated it...

Can he find a qualified democrat for a cabinet position?

I'm blanking.
A frequent occurrence, apparently.

Of particular note, Mr. Raskin said, was the fact that Mr. Trump’s transition team blew past the Sept. 1 deadline to sign the agreement with the General Services Administration. That document provides for a variety of services to be made available to the president-elect, including $7.2 million in funding for the costs of transition. But it also puts a $5,000 cap on individual donations to the transition and requires the public disclosure of all its donors.

By refusing to sign that agreement, Mr. Trump effectively faces no limit on contributions and does not need to name his donors publicly.
Money raised by the transition is not regulated by any other government agency.

Remember all that unaccounted for money from his inauguration? The one that was biglier than Obama's.

the classified documents were probably even more harmful to america, but he really should have lethal injection for jan 6 related crimes.

Then you're wrong. There is no crime, or there would be an indictment, duh.

There are no Trump J6 crimes, Pelosi takes responsibility.

Video shows Rep. Nancy Pelosi “takes responsibility for not having the National Guard” at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

So what? Trump doesn't need the red tape of GSA funding.

You didn't put up any democrats worthy of a Trump cabinet position. Got any names?
