A sole proprietor operating a van in rural New Mexico billing $76.2M over 7 years is beyond physically impossible. 1,006 claims per workday.

Is this part of the same scandal where they formed fake rehab companies, took street people to Phoenix and actually gave them the drugs and alcohol they were supposed to provide treatment to get them off of?
I think it is ...

Well, the article you posted mentions Arizona, not New Mexico....
Sounds like you're not to well versed in the difference between Arizona and New Mexico, or you're a dang foerriner

No. Many of the Navajo addicts end up in Gallup nm. And they got "recruited there, taken to Phoenix. Then there is the fact that while the Navajo Nation straddles the state line, most of it is in Arizona. I am not mistaken, but you have not read who was being transported in that article in the op.
I live in Arizona, but I am six miles from NM, and my property, my north boundary line, is the Navajo Nation boundary at Hardscrabble, in New lands section.
I know exactly what I am talking about. The op is about a transport company that picked up Navajo addicts in NM. Most ended up in Phoenix AZ. Several died. And several went missing.
You are the one who doesn't know shit from shinola. This has been a big big scandal for years around here.

We need better fraud protection
Here is an idea.

So, way back in the day. Like last century. I was an insurance agent. Captive at first, but then independent working exclusively, the Medicare market.

Every morning one of the first things I did, hit the claims reports from the companies and clients I represented. Maybe someone went to the emergency room, claim comes in, I call them, everything OK. But if something fishy showed up, I spotted it. I don't think you can do that now. HIPPA.

Medicare fraud is easy, not going to lie. Medicare is pay first, ask questions later. That gets abused. But the reality is, it is easy to spot. Especially with AI. Time we shut them all down.
