I find the comedian (Sasha Baron Cohen, a/k/a “Borat”) to be generally unfunny. And, although he showed good taste in a girlfriend/wife (Isla), he also got divorced from her. Boo. I recall not liking his politics, either.
So, I saw a mini series in which he was the star, fully expecting to quickly turn it off. The series was “The Spy.”
I became very quickly engrossed in it. I almost hate to say it, but I will anyway. He was very good in the role. It was based on a true story of a guy who sought out Mossad to volunteer to serve because he loved his homeland. All of USMB’s regularly scheduled anti Semites are probably cringing if they are reading this post.)
The show and plot were engrossing, and truly not a dull moment (imho) in the entire series.
