The warnings were given. They were just updated in the middle of the night when everybody was asleep.

I really believe that Texas should have invested in sirens for this a long time ago and local government should have shut down summer camps in a flashflood prone area from the get, but Trump, Inc., seems to have clean hands on this one. Sorry but this really is the end result of state/local incompetence, not Trump's doings.

It WAS pretty weird how Katrina knocked out some refineries which suddenly justified the high gas prices at the time....and the Bush family just happened to be involved in oil.

It was also pretty weird how Sandy put an early end to the debates between Obama and Romney, and Obama got to go play hero in NJ, a Democrat stronghold...just before the election.

I don't believe that the government can "MAKE" weather, but I would totally believe that they could STEER the weather using something like HAARP. And btw, there are other facilities like HAARP in the world, and one of them is in the Canary Islands where most hurricanes start to form before moving west to our continent. Microwave antennas can fry birds out of the sky, and our government has experimented with weaponizing that technology. It's a fact. The government is probably capable of a lot more than many people realize.

If this is all true, the issuing of warnings may be all that can be done where the authorities are concerned. Once the warnings are out there, those in the line of fire can only do the best that they can no matter what their own personal circumstances are.

Well first, those kids are dead. Hopefully they can recover the bodies eventually so the families can have closure. That is just the cold hard truth unfortunately.

I don't support the Trump cuts here as they are illogical. He thinks people can just use private companies when those private companies rely on government data to begin with. Eventually this will be a systemic problem. The Texas thing, however, is disconnected from that. I have seen flash flooding happen in person with my own eyes albeit not nearly on this scale. It is kind of amazing how fast that can occur with a creek going from a babbling brook to being out of its banks with extremely fast moving water in a matter of minutes. I just cannot understand why state and local people in Texas allowed these camps be built in an area notorious for it. From what I have read there are several camps in that area, not just this one that got washed away. They need to start shutting them down before this happens again.
