I thought all they had in Iowa was corn.
Actually, it's pigs and corn.
As the popular saying in Iowa goes:
"If you could teach the pigs to grow corn; the state wouldn't need people"

all i saw was corn when i was there.
 
Wow .. what a high-priority item to tackle: Restrictions on common people who want to raise chickens.

Pigs and corn are closely linked in Iowa.
Yes, corn is the major crop in Iowa.
But pigs are the #1 livestock and consume most of the corn grown in the state.
Which is why Iowa has large hog slaughter house's and processing plants. That ship pork products all over the world.
