Dementia is rampant, liver, kidney, and heart transplants are as common as a haircut, freedom of speech has been declared a dangerous threat to democracy, and everyone in the little liberal city just keeps their mouth shut so their place in the herd will protect them while someone else goes down. Who could ask for more?

Of course, only a few speak out and they are called crazy. This scenario has gone down in history many times before, but no one sees it. Oddly most people in the little liberal city could find the new giant liquor store in blizzard.

I remember reading the articles in Scientific American being referenced. Hard to believe it was over 50 years ago.

As for whether there is a plan, Stalinism has gradually replaced liberalism as the guiding principle of the left during those years, and the population has been whipped into such submission that if the elites tell people that women have penises, by golly, women have penises.
