This is a non-story, plain and simple. This young man will be viewed as a hero standing up to the oppression that he has endured and will endure for the rest of his life.

You would think he would be smarter than this ridiculousness since he has a 3.7 GPA at one of the top Universities, but it just goes to show that that no matter how smart you are, it means absolutely nothing if you have no common sense.

Am I? In both cases, a student refuses to participate in a class exercise because he/she is offended by the subject matter.

What's the difference?
