Donald Trump Jr. hints at run for US president
The U.S. president’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. said Wednesday that he wouldn’t rule out a future run for the White House.
“Maybe one day … that calling is there,” Trump Jr. said at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha. “I think my father has truly changed the Republican Party.”
Trump Jr. is considered one of the most prominent figures in the MAGA movement and is seen as a potential successor to his father’s political legacy, if not the top job.
“Maybe one day … that calling is there,” says Trump scion.

His qualifications pale in comparison to Don Sr. No accusations by 26 women of sexual abuse, including rape. No felony record. No theft of funds from a charity. No refusal to comply with a subpoena for stolen, classified docs. No charges on plotting to steal a presidential election. No defrauding of students in a pretend real estate school. No attempt to influence an election by paying for the silence of a porn star he schtoinked. No love affairs with dictators. Only a minor record of pathological lying.
Sorry Donnie, you have nothing the base of the GOP seems to want.
As it stands now he would lose.
I often use the Mike Tyson story, when he speaks about his son and was asked if he is going to be a boxer and he said in essence, "no, he is not a fighter, he is smart kid, more quiet, he has a different environment.
I dont want him running into someone like me when I was younger, he can't be me, he didnt have my life experiences etc".
This is true of many men who have kids and they feel disappointed in them for now being like them without realizing that it is because of their efforts and struggle that their kids don't NEED to be like them. If they needed to struggle and fight in the trenches as their dad did, they then might replicate that.
He has some of Trumps words and arguments, but he's not Trump. He wasn't the guy we saw doing the media circuits, interviews, showing off the gold toilets and building Trump Tower.
Before Trump even stepped into politics he had massive name recognition in addition to personal funds and the right message at the right time. He is literally one in a billion.
So maybe his son has some fight in him, ok I will give them that. He didn't work the city of New York as Trump did though. He didn't face the bankruptcies and threats from powerful people while desiring to expand his empire even though his dad didn't encourage him to do so as I remember. His dad was comfortable in his slice of the pie in Brooklyn while Trump wanted to battle in Manhattan.
DJT is one in a billion. It's just the way it is. He had to have the precise upbringing, challenges, success and failures. He was born genetically but more importantly MADE based on his proclivities matching the conditions of his environment.
I've said to many people that if they had lived the life I did, most of them would not have survived. G-d gave me whatever he gave me and coupled with the conditions I was formed for better or worse. Whether it's Tyson, Trump, Tom Brady, whomever, we are what we are based on conditions and DNA, totally separate from one another.
You then take the moment in time he entered politics etc,
it is impossible to replicate.
If he is serious about a run, he should run for for a smaller office somewhere, as Vivek is doing when running for Governor. Trying to jump right into the presidential limelight is not easy. Trump had the right conditions and message that people so desperately wanted to hear, his son would need real experience and successful experience in politics.
Now, if Trump someone topples communism as Reagan did, then he might be able to piggyback that to a president campaign. It would require that level of success for DJT to translate to his kids and his son would have to be front and center in support of the policies, right?
