Again, we have a shocking bit of news about a common practice that too few Americans are aware of. Ultimately, as always, the purpose was to embarrass the Secretary of War and Our Beloved President.

Ms. Zito is an insightful pundit and gets this one right, as she always does. The American Left and too much of the American Right are totally disconnected from military service because of the inexplicable decision by President Carter to eliminate the draft. A pox on his house.

“Our Beloved President”?

In caps?

Really?

THIs left wing rant was really funny. First they accused Hegseth of buying the lobster for himself. He must have one hell of a freezer. Then it comes out this has always been done and the left once again looks like bunch of idiots grasping anything. This also illustrates how dumb the media is. Simple checking would have explained it

My brother served in the military and occasionally was served lobster and steak. This is not unusual and the Democrats are just trying to make it a political issue.

Wait to totally miss the point.

The Pentagon went on an epic spending spree in September 2025 by burning through $93 billion ... the most at the end of a fiscal year since 2008 ... all part of the federal government's use-it-or-lose-it budget.

Use it or lose it. That has been a problem with government budgets for decades, rather it is the military or the Department of Education. Republicans have long complained about this problem. But now, suddenly it is no problem. Now, even attempts to address that problem are mocked with the old "out to make us look bad bullshit".

And the steak and lobster, no problem, I get it. The troops deserve those special perks. But I got to tell you, King Crab is going a bit overboard. I mean the military can probably score a 20lb case of Snow Crab for less than $150 a case. 40 pound of King will set them back a grand. But really, is now the time to put in a new Steinway at Quarter's Seven? And I am still scratching my head, what military member needs a ******* Herman Miller?
