The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit today overturned a temporary restraining order put in place by a federal judge in Portland – removing the legal impediment that was preventing the Trump Administration from sending National Guard troops to Portland.

"After considering the record at this preliminary stage, we conclude that it is likely that the President
lawfully exercised his statutory authority under 10 U.S.C. § 12406(3), which authorizes the federalization of the National Guard when 'the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States,'" they wrote in their decision.

Good night Antifa!

I can't wait for the videos!

Another winner to put the lefties into the right mindset .. those poor Democrat politicians who challenge things because they don't like them vs. challenging them because its unconstitutional ..

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Yup, it's the most leftist circuit court in the country, and it's STILL not radical enough for the loons.
They used to be worse. They also have the most liberal opinions because they hear twice as many appeals as any other Appeals court.

Uh oh, time for the left to throw another street tantrum again!
And by the way, this was the 9th circus of appeals.

Oct 20 (Reuters) - A divided U.S. appeals court ruled on Monday that Donald Trump can send National Guard troops into Portland, Oregon, despite objections by the leaders of the city and state, giving the Republican president an important legal victory as he dispatches military forces to a growing number of Democratic-led locales.
A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the Justice Department's request to put on hold a judge's order that had blocked the deployment while a legal challenge to Trump's action plays out.

The judge that was overturned should be removed from the bench

Meh ... Imagine getting a favorable ruling from the 9th circuit? The court system should not be a rubber stamp nor should it be activist.
Since its inception most people have made the same complaints. Though it must be admitted that in the last 40 years or so administrations have tried very hard to pack the court systems with sympathizers. It could very well be that we need a different selection process.

I think we just need what I demanded

99.99% of the ambulance chaser’s lucky enough to be appointed as federal judges want to stay on the bench till they die

If bring reversed by a higher court means losing their job these partisan decisions will disappear overnight
