I run Glary Utilities to keep smooth. When I want to splurge I might take on Avast Premium, which does much of the same stuff, maybe more intensively. Both help a lot.

It's all based on what people prefer, I run Kubuntu on one of my desktops and Ubuntu on my laptops. I prefer the Ubuntu interface over the Mint interface.

I'm a minimalist: Lubuntu. (LXDE)

I also use non-tarball OSes as well, because one day I realized you just don't have the power with them. I can mess up my install easy!

Ccleaner
Process Explorer
UBCD
Parted Magic
Ultradefrag
NoScript
Malwarebytes
Something like Easus, but not. It's older and it was free, but now it's not.
The version I have is, though.
"EasyBCD" Maybe?
