I suggest that you include St Petersburg as sort of an alternative to Moscow. I've been to SP.

All of those capitals have lots of spectacular things to see and do.

Rome, Paris, Madrid, and London. Also Copenhagen, Budapest, Brussels, Athens, Dublin, Reykjavík, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Lisbon
