I love that movie. I must have watched it ten times when it first came out. I have it saved in HD and can watch it any time in my home theater. I still get the creeps watching it--- I think it is the music, plus a lot of well-cast actors.

More like 70 years. The original "Thing from another Planet" starring James Arness as the Thing was released in 1951 and is still a classic.

The dialogue was cool in that movie. They were nearly talking over each other.
