I bought a never fired 2015 (1st year production) Ruger LCR in .38 Special +P this morning....I gave $250.00 for it.

I had bought one when they fist came out and carried it for several years. The I bought a Colt Cobra and gifted the LCR to my daughter. She bought a CC purse so I kept the Don Hume LCR holster I had for it. As you can see it was well worn.

I like the standard velocity FBI loading (158g LWCHP) in it as I do all snub-nosed revolvers. I've not seen a need for +P ammo in a snubbie.

Where the LCR shines is in it's excellent DA trigger pull and it's loaded weight.

5-shot J-Frame square butt....1.7#.

5-shot LCR....13.9 oz.

6-shot Colt Cobra.... 1.4#

Size wise the LCR is about the same as the Cobra.

I don't know if I will go back to the LCR even if it proves to be as good of a shooter as the Cobra but it will definingly go in my hunting coats if it does.

Bub...time to move on. Yes, you got a nice price, but dump that crap and get Hellcats and G19's. Our world is gone! We are not in the wild west anymore. OK, keep a few revolvers for semi-auto ban insurance...but move the **** on!

5 shot versus 13 shot...move on bub!

Odd, I don't feel under-gunned. :dunno:

I prefer .38 special subbies for "social work".

BTW....SA

More top-heavy than Paris. ;)

Not a fan of snubnose revolvers. Heavy trigger pull, as accurate as throwing a hammer, and contrary to popular opinion, revolvers can indeed jam.

six rounds vs. sixteen. two inch barrel vs. four. 8-11 lb pull vs. four. nonexistent sights vs. red dot.

But hey if you like that, cool by me.
How many bullets do you have to catch between your eyebrows to get dead?
Pulls on revolvers can be lowered.
If it was just pistols? I'd take my old Police S&W against anything you got.
I know where my bullets are gonna go. I'll hit golf balls with it. At distance, too.
Up to about 20-25 yards and beyond. I'll ring b.b./.22 target steel with that thing just about every time.
He make it go faster than .22. .38 whacks it pretty good. 😆
Not uncommon for me to have 3 loadups with 0 misses. And then I'm about done with that anyway. :dunno:
I like to shoot, been doing it since I was a kid.
It only takes 1. That's the answer to the 1st question. Am I wrong?

I didn't insult you but Ok Fudd. When was the last time you dry fired? Do you Mozambique, Bill Drill, or pretend you're a one shot wonder? Whats your split times? Do you box shoot like a baby or do lateral movement? How much do you practice weak hand shooting? Ever shoot with that piece of shit more than three feet? Think thats going to save you in a mass shooting? Go to a grocery and figure out the distance down the aisle next time.

Tell me more.

M&P. Literally no one under 90 brings a revolver to a gun fight. 1889 called and said there's this new thing called a semi. Also we have these things called dots now. Snubs don't even have sights.

About ten feet with that snub nose piece of shit.

Remember I didn't insult you. I stated why I did not prefer that pistol. Had you brought up a proper revolver besides a Saturday night special I'd have respected you more.

I practice at 7 and 15 yards with my snubs.....If someone is all the way down at the end of a grocery isle at the Piggly Wigley I have other options. ;)

I love a good pimp-gun thread. :laughing0301:

1946 S&W M&P snub-nose K-Frame engraved by Westley-Richards in England.

The ultimate TX BB-Q gun. ;)

It came with a holster engraved in the same pattern.....I picked it up years ago from a shop that was going under.
