I bought a never fired 2015 (1st year production) Ruger LCR in .38 Special +P this morning....I gave $250.00 for it.
I had bought one when they fist came out and carried it for several years. The I bought a Colt Cobra and gifted the LCR to my daughter. She bought a CC purse so I kept the Don Hume LCR holster I had for it. As you can see it was well worn.
I like the standard velocity FBI loading (158g LWCHP) in it as I do all snub-nosed revolvers. I've not seen a need for +P ammo in a snubbie.
Where the LCR shines is in it's excellent DA trigger pull and it's loaded weight.
5-shot J-Frame square butt....1.7#.
5-shot LCR....13.9 oz.
6-shot Colt Cobra.... 1.4#
Size wise the LCR is about the same as the Cobra.
I don't know if I will go back to the LCR even if it proves to be as good of a shooter as the Cobra but it will definingly go in my hunting coats if it does.
