I decided to purge my .22 target rifle collection (kept a couple) and with part of the proceeds (4.8K) I bought this 1968 6" blued .357 Colt Python.

It was priced at about what it's currently worth at $2300.00, but I ended up getting it for $2100.00 so I can't really complain.

For whatever reason, some say due to the newly manufactured ones, the bottom sorta fell out of the Python market. I had a 4" Nickle years ago and regretted selling it when the prices got so high.....Back then I got $3500.00 for the 4" Nickel.

It's in really nice shape and came with a Colt branded holster and old ring speed loader.

The box is from a Colt SSA but it does accommodate the revolver/holster.

I might spring for a Yellow Label repro box and sell the SAA box.

LOL.....I figured better just one nice Colt than a bunch of vintage .22 target rifles gathering dust.....Takes up a lot less room too. ;)

I have a nearly identical revolver with the 4 inch barrel.

My father gave it to me, said he's had it since the 70's. I had no idea it was that pricey.

Damn, guy! Invite me over, and we'll go to the range. I'll even pop for some ammo. :)
