get her. also, its amazing these pieces of work are still alive despite the way this story can feel like ancient history.

Good luck with all that. Likely anyone that had anything to do with the warrant is long dead given that was near 67 years ago.

That and the way things worked back then cause may have been found not to serve it and it was just filed away.

By the looks of her she was in her 20s at the time so that would put her at around 90.

In this Sept. 22. 1955 photo, Carolyn Bryant rests her head on her husband Roy Bryant's shoulder after she testified in Emmett Till murder court case in Sumner, Miss. Stymied in their calls for a renewed investigation into the murder of Emmett Till, relatives and activists are advocating another possible path toward accountability in Mississippi: They want authorities to launch a kidnapping prosecution against the woman who set off the lynching by accusing the Chicago teen of improper advances in 1955. Authorities at the time said the woman had two young children and they did not want to bother her. Donham’s then-husband and another man were acquitted of murder.

I doubt you're going to find any law enforcement willing to serve a 67 year old warrant

I don't think the case can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

That does not matter to those after their pound of flesh.....With a potential payday at the end.

Blacks think that they are in the cat-bird's seat and they would be perfectly fine with dragging a 90-odd year old white woman into court just to prove that they could.

So, you be da judge, be da jury, and be da executioner. How nice for you.
And you can be the coward and the racist. But yes, it would be nice to me if that piece of shit died in prison where she belongs.

All about the Benjamins.

The search group included members of the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation and two Till relatives: cousin Deborah Watts, head of the foundation; and her daughter, Teri Watts.

A 'Foundation'. AKA money-laundering.

Yeah, you have no belief in an actual justice system. How nice for you.

If the defendants were acquitted, why pursue this old warrant?

Who cares? Charge her and get a judge to deny her bail and hope she dies before trial. Problem solved.

Supposedly, the DOJ closed the case back in 2017. Since then there have been conflicting accounts circulating that she fabricated her story about being assaulted by Emmitt Till.

She's 88 years old now, in poor health and likely will escape accountability in this lifetime and will instead be judged by God (if there actually is a God)

It is amazing how they wait until these racist are 2 days from death to finally arrest or put them on trial for crimes that were committed 60yrs ago.
