One of my gun shops gave me a call today and said that the "coin shop guy" dropped off a bunch of consignment guns and he had a pre-64 Winchester that was right scruffy for a reasonable price.

I drove over and yeah, scruffy did not begin to describe it. The damn thing had mold on it, even on the metal! I guess it was feeding on the gun oil!

Anyhoo, I gave him $400.00 for it and 3.5 hours of a detail strip and clean later.....behold!

The bands/lever were the most worn finish-wise but the rest cleaned-up very well. I had to kill the mold with a hydrogen peroxide/alcohol solution first but it turned-out great.

Now I need more .32 Special ammo as I only have a box and a half. ;)
