It was the prototype. First of its kind. Lab quality concept model not the same as a mass production prototype.

Marconi device? Marconi didn't invent the radio, Tesla did. What Marconi developed was actually based on several patents that Tesla had already developed. Marconi was interested in creating a commercial product whereas Tesla was in it just for the pure research. Later, Tesla actually sued Marconi and had the record straightened out.
