Thanks for the rep. From my understanding Jesus always said go and work either doing his will or taking care of the sick and elderly. Give to the poor. But never did he say anything about taking care of the lazy. There are a few scriptures in the new testament talking about lazy people but none from Jesus. except telling people to work.
(Acts 20:34-35) “Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Christians should provide for their own household.

(1 Timothy 5:8) “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
