I am heartsick, as are you, of the suffering, particularly the children and infants. If I offended you, I'm sorry. Having served in the military for a long time, I was involved in refugee relief, fires, hurricanes, earthquakes. Establishing security and minimal infrastructure requires, unfortunately, some time, and during that time the suffering continues. And the children don't know anything except they are hurting, they are thirsty, they are hungry, they are cold or hot or sweating or shivering, and their parents aren't there.
