PP, very interesting indeed. I heard of ID several years ago. I can't say that I don't believe in evolution, I do. However, there are missing parts and even if there weren't the problem still comes down to 'what started all this?' I believe in God. Do I think ID belongs in science curriculum in primary/secondary? No. In a religion class in parochial school? Yes. In discussions in philosophy classes in HS? Yes. In science? Not yet.
My take is that in my lifetime the major explanation of how we got where we are is evolution. Before evolution, Big Bang? In any case, I think there's is a creator force that precedes all of the explanations. No beginning, no end.
