  • Thanks for the rep. I'm glad you're here. We don't always agree, but you seem very adept at being civil and reasonable. I am almost certain you're the same Diuretic from the other political forum that I don't post on much anymore. So you post on both forums?
Was in NY first visit in 1984, not been back since. Contrary to the mythology people weren't at all rude :D
Thanks for the rep. Silly aren't they? cool about the T-shirt. Never been to Austin but I've heard it's huge fun. Have you been to NY in your travels?
Tee shirt is one I got at Katz's in Austin, Tx when I was there a few years ago. Friend of mine took me there for breakfast, told me all about the place.
s'okay. lol... claptonlike, eh? i can't make that claim for myself. ;)

thanks for the rep. btw, been meaning to ask, what is your avatar (the t-shirt) from?
Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it. The first world war is one of my favored subjets to study, the nations involved went into the war as progessive, religious and humanist and emerged bitter, disillusioned and lost. Many of the young war widows never remarried (it was simply unheard of to them to remarry) and remained tragic symbols of a generation dead on a battlefield, for reasons nobody really understood.
I feel so sorry for that cat. Reminds me of my cat when I was a little girl and put dolls clothes on her, she hated that, as soon as she could, she'd go running away, wearing that little pink dress.
Thank you D. for the reps. It was a good argument on both sides without all the name calling.
Nah, I'm mellowing with age (okay, that's code for getting senile) - only if they really upset me. Then it's "oi you, up against the wall!"
