Immediately prior to our entry into WWI, German ambassador Zimmerman suggested to Mexico that they should invade CA, AZ and NM. Zimmerman's confirmation of this plan enraged Congress the way the sinking of the Lusitania never did and we declared war soon thereafter.

It seems to me that Zimmerman's Plan is now fully operational and expanded
