Actually, it isn't a matter of liking my old boss, who really was a douchebag. It's a matter of supporting a system that is biased towards the rich vs. one that is biased towards the rest of us.

Incidently, what he did was totally against the law. A couple of other people he did that to are currently suing the company, and it won't end in a pretty way... (I didn't because I already had something else lined up.)

But to the point, the rights of working people have been undermined for 30 years, event one being the PATCO strike. Politics isn't about principle, it's about enlightened self-interest.

And what the GOP plans for working folks in this country is not in my best interest or yours.

All the shit about gays and abortions and Jesus are just distractions to get people to vote against their own interest.

Whether some chick gets an abortion isn't any of my business. Whether a free trade treaty moves my current job to China is.

Liddy turned on his president at the first oppurtunity... for a lighter sentence. No integrity there.

If I'm putting in 60 hours a week at a company, I have as much to do with creating that money as the boss does. Maybe more so, this guy was actually more of a hinderence than a help.

So what you and Gordon are really against is a fair division of the spoils. You don't fear socialism, you fear democracy...

I am seeing people here pushing the same policies that damned near created the Second Great Republican Depression. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a differant result.

The Bush tax cut should all be rescinded. Those of us left in the middle class can afford them, those that the policies of the GOP have driven into the class of the working poor, won't be paying them. And the very wealthy should see an increase that also includes a 6.2 percentage increase on all income from whatever source. That would fix SS for the foreseeable future.

The definition of insanity is expecting a different result from a process repeated, and 'trickle down golden showers' was tried in earnest, definitively failing in October of 2008.

We have plenty of examples of this right at USMB: Dud/Oddball, Mr.T, CFrank....all claim to be independent yet they constantly shill for and vote for the GOP.
