Afganistan did not attack us...OBL and al-Quida did..they were just hiding there, and after briefly cornering OBL in Tora Bora, W diverted to Iraq.
It was all pretext...to try to get control if Iraqi oil..and despicable.
Using the outrage over 9/11 to invade a nation NOT INVOLVED IN IT for personal profit or some other gain..,beyond despicable.

Oh ...and Putin DOES care what the world thinks..the extravagance of his hosting Olympics was all about that...The question is, what would serve Putin's enormous ego: world acceptance and approval...or a crack at world domination?
