Ever wonder why if it's "my money" you can't send your money overseas, or travel with all of it? Are we not being paid for our work but being given 'company script' to borrow? I understand the whole reason behind declaring larger amounts of cash (over $10,000) but if it's our money, why can't we carry however much of it we want?
What if you don't believe in banks (as anyone who looks into it is likely to become heh) and thus keep all your money as cash under your bed? When you travel maybe you wanna bring it with it so if the house burns down you're not penniless. Why does the government have jack to say about how much you carry around with you? Not everyone's a smuggler or funding terrorists ya know.
