The United States supported the Mujahaddin in Afghanistan's war with Russia. Russia and Others have done the same to supply the Taliban. You cannot overthrow a country unless the formers populace ceases to exist. As long as there are those who will not submit to foreign involvement in their Politics and culture there can be no Victory. Vietnam taught us Nothing! Just another bloody lesson in a different Country.

Anybody that thinks the Taliban defeated us is an idiot. There is no organized force for us to target and kill. They are hidden pockets of extremists that sometimes aren't even affiliated with each other. We can't just destroy them all because more pop up constantly. Extremism is part of the culture of that region now. We'd have to kill everybody in the Middle East to end extremism there, and that'd be insane.

Because there is no will to do what is needed to win. We killed everything that moved against us in WWII. Now we put our warriors on trial for killing the enemy no wonder we can't win. War is a ruthless game that the weak hearted should not wonder into.
