You Anti-Collective Bargaining people with your agenda begun with your legislative initiatives in Wisconsin and Ohio are opening a Pandoras box with the anger you will be unleashing among public workers and their families when the results of your efforts begun to be really felt by these individuals, it is guaranteed you wont like the results! The one major issue that surprisingly does not seem to be resolved on this whole subject is that the collective bargaining right is a natural, fundamental right. They are just like the right to free speech, the right to have a say in who governs you (vote)! This phony debate that the collective bargaining right is a privilege not a right is without merit. A privilege is a permission to drive a car or a permission to hunt with a gun, the collective bargaining right is not permission like these it is a much more serious permission. A right, like free speech, right to vote, privacy rights, etc. is a permission or a protection that is not only important but integral to living (that is human life). The right of collective bargaining is integral to human life, because it is integral to a persons job (who works under a collective bargaining agreement) and a job is essential to human life it enables a person to buy food, clothing, shelter, medical care, etc.. A collective bargaining right is integral to a persons job (who has a collective bargaining agreement) because it is integral in determining wages, benefits, working conditions and conditions of termination and due to the nature of the management/worker relationship it is necessary to allow the worker to have such permission to join with his or her coworker to obtain fair terms on these listed aspects of a job remember unless you have a collective-bargaining agreement essentially management has all the power they can set the wages, benefits, working conditions, terms of termination as they so chose. A worker is either a worker under a contract for a term or an at will employee and most workers that dont work under a collective bargaining agreement are at will employees which means they practically have no power there is a huge imbalance of power in favor of management in these relationships and the right of collective bargaining gives the worker a fair chance to get fair terms of employment and it is the only reality that exists that can give a worker that fair chance!
If the right wing of the Republican Party keeps up with their agenda here to take away workers right to collective bargain they are going to cause a backlash in America which will result in the American people amending the constitution to expressly provide such a right in the constitution. This right is so important to enough working Americans that it will surely happen and in the process Republican candidates will lose many elections over the matter!
The individual politicians behind these legislative initiatives taking away collective bargaining rights arent thinking to clearly. The clever designs of these legislative bills in Wisconsin and Ohio will offer no protection to these politicians, these bills are taking away public workers right to collectively bargain that is the bottom line. Governor Scott Walker and Governor John Kasich will be forever linked with these bills if they become law in their respective states and they will be held fully responsible along with leaders in their respective legislature. It may not happen immediately but eight to ten years down the road when the full effects of taking away these workers rights is fully felt I fear some hurt worker will take a gun and shoot one of these responsible parties! This writer does not advocate such violence, this writer is a staunch believer that good Americans work within the system to bring about change, resorting to violence is un-American. Nevertheless, history in America has shown when workers are hurt bad they sometimes dont think rationally and at times they have resorted to violence, that is why it has been written that these anti-collective bargaining people are opening a Pandoras box with their actions here!
