The fact remains that the polls have been stable for years in the US and they have shown overwhelming support for Israel and very little support for the Palestinians.You are deluded. All the polls have shown for many years the vast majority of Americans support Israel and since the vast majority of Americans are Christians it follows that vast majority of Christians support Israel.Then Israel is secure since the overwhelming majority of American Christians support Israel; in fact the majority of Zionists are Christians.In my opinion, montelatici no more speaks for any contingency of Christian voices than guno speaks for any Israeli contingency.
They both have serious deficiencies that make me uncomfortable and denigrate whoever they think they are representing.
I am just stating fact. Not denigrating anyone. Israel needs the Christian West's support to survive.
Just the evangelicals, they are a minority of Christians in America and they are fickle. They could turn on Jews in heartbeat.
The World Council of Churches (most of the mainline churches) and the Roman Catholic Church have a far different position.
Things are changing, for example.

Not a vast majority anyway. American Catholics support Israel but 60% and Hispanic Catholics are increasingly supporting the Palestinians, and that is the part of the Catholic Church that is growing the most. Besides, on a worldwide basis, Christians support the Palestinians.
