It's because of me.

I'm a totem. Where ever I live, one local team wins.

I grew up in NYC, from when I was born until 2011.

During that time, the fucking Yankees won everything they could. Ticker tape parades were freebie cut days, and we all loved it.

In 2011, I moved to San Francisco. I was there for 4 years. The Giants won two world series.

Then, in 2014, we moved to Oakland. I lived there for another 4 years. The Warriors won everything.

In 2017, I moved to DC.

Now the Caps have Lord Stanley's Cup.

Congrats to the Caps. I don't follow hockey but my son likes it so we watched the Finals. I still don't like hockey but I have a better appreciation for how difficult a sport it is.
