Wow Just WOW - Only 5-15% of Obaminationcare Enrollees Paid 1st Premium!!!

According to Sebelius

"Burgess: What if that patient doesn’t make the premium payment? You said they’re covered Dec. 23, but they never write the check. They never make the payment.

Sebelius: Then they’re not covered. They are not enrolled, and at every point along the way, on the website they are told until they make the payment—"

Of the minute 365,000 (it was supposed to bein the millions not alittle over a quarter million) only between 5-15% actually made their first payment!!!! Wow get covered but don't pay for it, that is the libtard way!

There are a lot of things above Obama?s ?pay grade? « Hot Air is also a lot of worrying going on over people making payments,” industry consultant Robert Laszewski wrote in an email. “One client reports only 15% have paid so far. It is still too early to know for sure what this means but we should expect some enrollment slippage come the payment due date.”

Another consultant Kip Piper, agreed. “So far I’m hearing from health plans that around 5% and 10% of consumers who have made it through the data transfer gauntlet have paid first month’s premium and therefore truly enrolled,” he wrote me…

On top of that the website is telling people who make $80K a year that they qualify for medicaid, so they can't get Obaminationcare. However, it's simply not true!

Uh oh: Only 5-15% of enrollees have paid their first month of premiums in some ObamaCare plans « Hot Air
Elsewhere in ObamaCare chaos news, go read this USA Today report from Monday about how the new and allegedly improved Healthcare.gov is telling some people who make $80,000 a year that they qualify for Medicaid. When those people call the O-Care hotline, the operators tell them that whatever the website says must be correct. Will those poor saps be sprung from limbo in time to enroll before the deadline?

Medicaid eligibility is set by the state it is located in.

I just wonder if Obamacare gets to the point that no one signs up, it keeps costing more to "fix the website" and Obama keeps changing the rules so no one has to sign up and he finally cries "UNCLE" and says "REPEAL THE EFFIN THING ALREADY!"

I saw a clip about this on the news...Sebelius answered basically "the part of the website that accepts payments is not currently working....".
You can't make this shit up.

Well, Merry Christmas to all Republicans!

And a happy nude year. Except for me. My doctor will not allow me to take off my clothes, even for an exam or operation.

Explains why you show your butt in here everyday!

It is taking a while for the applications to come through.

I signed up last week (easy process), selected a plan and wanted to pay, but the company I chose (BC/BS) in my state did not allow that option.

It was stated on the page to call the company to arrange payment, which I did. They had not rec'd it yet. Been a week, and still has not been received (and the people there were very nice, telling me they are checking it every day. Just rec'd a phone call from someone there in the last hour telling me they are checking the lists every day, as they come in, and following up...)

I called healthcare.gov, and the application is verified and approved, it is just taking some time for this to work through the system.

I'm not terribly worried, considering the breadth of this program. Be assured, many are like me -- just waiting to pay, and waiting for things to get processed. And like me, they will.

You've listened to the news and you're not worried?

There is hardly any "factual news" in this country. Mostly propaganda is published & broadcast. If you believe the media over the facts, you are truly brainwashed.

Why can't the whole system be optional to participate in and fund under those terms?

So people can quit fighting about it, go focus on funding and reforming their own systems, and let people use this who want to wait while it's being set up and developed.

Why can't the people who pushed for this system be held responsible for it?
If people like you are okay with it, and feel it works for you and represents what you believe in supporting, GREAT!

So why not let other people have the same rights and freedom to participate and fund the systems of medical care and financing we believe in equally? That's what I don't get!

Hey bitch that was at the time of the article!!! It changed but Obaminationcare is still a disaster!

If these Rats can do what they've done to the VA, ya really think you'll be treated better with BarryCare? Sheeeit. And the waiting lists and death panels aren't the worst of it....wait until you're told that if you own a gun, or a motorcycle, or BBQ, or like a second piece of pie that you'll be booted off the roster.

Here's my 2 cents on ACA as an insurance agent; this is based on what I see as an agent.

With healthcare reform being the law of the land, you are now able to get health insurance where you can get a government subsidy to cover part of the cost. If you can qualify for a subsidy, you will be surprised just how affordable insurance has become. However, if you make too much to qualify for a subsidy, insurance is not very affordable these days unfortunately. That's the truth of the matter, healthcare reform is both good and bad depending on your situation.

I have had to do a ton of follow-up with people who have enrolled in plans with a government subsidy; they often don't make the first payment. I have had clients with premiums that are less than $10.00 and they still have failed to make the payment which is insane.

I'm curious, Marcus...as someone in the insurance business...what would you say that the ACA has done to the healthcare costs for the average Middle Class person? My rates have gone up...not down as was promised because I make too much for subsidies. How was the ACA "good" for me?

Also...do you expect those rates to balloon following the mid-terms? I look at the numbers and don't see how it can do anything but! They didn't get the number of young and healthy people to sign up that they projected and I think that they have WILDLY underestimated the cost of healthcare for the elderly and those who signed up with pre-existing conditions. When sick people haven't been able to afford healthcare suddenly have it they are going to use it ALOT!
