Windows 10: What to expect on July 29

If you're not a Windows Insider, you may have to wait past launch day as Microsoft rolls out the upgrade in waves.


In other words, even though I have Windows 8.1 and reserved my upgrade weeks ago, it may not happen on that date.


Am I going to sweat it? Of course not. It'll come when it comes.

It´s now the fourth Vista, when we count Win8/8.1 as one, and should run fine

Why would anyone, anywhere, WANT an "upgrade" from Windblows? Me, I'm doing all I can to avoid it.
Bad enough I got "upgraded" from 7 to 8 without my consent. Bad enough I had to get 7 in the first place. And Vista before that. Etc etc etc.

When I needed a new PC tower for my office, I found the Gateway model available through Best Buy with Win 7 installed.
I thoroughly enjoy it.

I heard that when you click on the icon it installs Linux Mint.
