Why are they still called windmills? They don't actually mill anything.
I just watched a movie where the punchline was the new fuel was humans, they were thrown into the back of cars to power them, snatched off the street.Tough enough for you?

Most new ideas are looked down upon by the masses until they start working and the people can see the benefit.
I'm not convinced wind power will amount to much though.
It takes alot of oil to run these. 5 barrels annually, for each one. Multiply that times a million of these, and you see why oil magnates like T. Boone Pickens love them.
They also leak and sling this oil, great for the groundwater!
They each require enough concrete and steel to provide homes for 100 families, or to build 1000 Priuses. ALL of the steel of course, comes from China.
Yeah, really green and really viable.
