Lots of jobs available down south and lots of floods with flood insurance in the ton-ton corridor. The Carolinas have many flood wrecked houses without flood insurance. That's the pull. Then there is the push.
Housing prices are going down in most of the northeast, with taxes, especially real estate taxes, heading up.
Then there is the competition. MS and AL offer the most incentives for employment and AL even has a tech center, Huntsville. What both states lack is a serious storm and flood housing code plus massive kudzu and fire ant infestation.
The race to get away from the high taxes of the Blue Wall is on.
