Why won't obama call out fox news???

I thought I'd already covered that.

Here's another idea. Since he will be om MULTIPLE networks on Sunday and EVERYONE who cares already knows this, why not simply change the channel to tune in?

Yes, that is another idea. Care to get back to the idea we were discussing?

i.e., Why won't he appear on FOX? I wish I had the answer, but I have seen nothing official on it. All we are all doing really, is guessing.

I'll use your brilliant answer...."WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT?"

So, are you suggesting that the FOX viewers don't care about what Obama has to say?

No, I'm suggesting the same thing you are. He won't appear on FOX because he's not willing to answer their questions. FOX viewers have already heard anything he has to say on the other networks that he's been on over and over and over.

Did you start your thread yet?

They gave up the pretense of "fair and balanced" long ago.

Name the conservatives that give their POV's on ABC, CBS ,NBS, MSNBC and CNN.

Here's a partial list of Liberals that frequent Fox.

Ellis Heinican, Susan Estrich, Chris Wallace, Geraldo Rivera, Alan Colmes, Bernie Sanders, John Edwards, Mark Mellman, Terry McAuliffe, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sen. Dennis Kucinich, Rep. Charles Rangle, Minister Hashim Nzinga, Geraldine Ferraro, Bob Beckel, Lanny Davis, Joe Lieberman, Tammy Bruce, Pat Caddell, Neal Gabler, Jane Hall, Jeff Cohen, Juan WIlliams, Mara Liason, Morton Kondracke, Rosie O'Donnell, Ed Asner, Steven Baldwin, Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, Mile Farrell etc... And this list doesn't include who knows how many who have been interviewed for various stories.

Add your list and we'll compare.

This isn't a pissing contest. He's the President and all the major networks should have access to him. The same should be the case if it were a Republican in office.

Alec Baldwin and Matt Damon? GMAFB!

Are they not liberals? Do they not present a liberal POV's?

Emma suggested Fox wasn't fair and balanced and I presented evidence to the contrary by showing the many liberal pov's that run on Fox and challenged her to list the conservative voices on all the other networks.

This wasn't about havng access to Obama. You obviously don't possess the intelligence to follow a simple line of discussion. And the only one that's pissing here is you, which must be difficult with Obama's dick in your ass.

Are you confusing "interview" with "inquisition"?

No, though I'm sure it might feel like that.

Thanks for at least seeing my point.

Of course I see your point. I have no ax to grind in favor of Fox over any other network. But in this particular instance I'm saying that I think Obama's decision not to give an interview to Fox is not even-handed. The tenor of the questions he will face will undoubtedly be harsher on Fox than it would be on other networks. But that is no reason for him to duck the issue.

True, but it's a reasonable assumption.

Fox News??

Why would any credible leader sit down with FoxNews??

They have made their bed regarding their legitimacy as a news network. If nobody takes them seriously, they have only themselves to blame

Maybe because Fox news is the highest rated cable news in the nation and it would give Obama a chance to speak directly to those that are opposing his socialist agenda.
But I think he's just scared to fucking death of Fox News, afraid they'll pin him down on specifics and thats an area he's not comfortable with.

After statements like these, how can anyone even consider FOX or it's viewers as "Fair and Balanced"?

I don't represent Fox you stupid fuck!! And I bet you watch more Fox news than I do!!

Congratulations, Lonestar_logic...you too have now made my ignore list. That's makes two of you fucksticks in one day. You and Fatality belong together...good show!:clap2:

No offense intended here but of the implication here is that the other networks are somehow bastions of fairness then you have not been watching them lately. If anyone here thinks MSNBC/NBC is nothing but a shill for the DNC and GE then they are sadly mistaken. ABC, CBS, are not much better. The fact is all these networks have zero journalistic ethics and are more akin to media outlets for the causes they represent. The President by selecting only those that agree with him is doing nothing but enforcing this. I rather doubt you would find few stories on those various networks that would be unfavorable to the Presidents healthcare proposals. It is not those people who he should be addressing, it should be the 57% of those that disagree with him on this issue and by appearing on his partys media outlets will not change that number at all and is rather like sending out a promotional video to his own party. While of course the so called "progressives" may disagree with Fox and call them unfair I would venture to say that they have mroe than enough alternatives that Fox should be a non-issue to them , however there is that pesky 57% thing though.

This post needs to be reposted again.

Obama is doing 5 or more interviews that day, which based on what I have heard is a risky strategy to begin with, as at least two interviewers will probably go for the kill and attempt to get Obama to slip up. WIth this in mind, I believe Obama and his handlers rpobably weighed the risk versus the possible gain. Those who watch Faux News and their talking heads like Beck and Hannity already don't like Obama nor his policies. These folks are behind the tea bagging parties. What would Obama stand to gain by appearing on Fox? Honestly?

Sorry....didn't get you on the ignore list quick enough. Let us not forgot that it was Yankee pussies that whipped your sorry Southern asses back into reality in the 1860s....

I think most Americans have heard what Obama has to say on several occasions. I really doubt anything new will be brought up. I always felt that George Bush never did get in front of the cameras enough, and I feel that Barack Obama is over exposing himself. I could care less if he doesn't go on Fox, I wouldn't watch him. I've watched enough of him and his healthcare message.

My bad - I misunderstood your post. I thought you were suggesting that it was OK for Obama not to be interviewed by Fox because so few conservatives are interviewed on the likes of CNN, MSNBC, etc, and that you had then posted the names of Liberals who have been interviewed on Fox as a comparison of how open Liberals are. Clearly this was incorrect, and I apologize. I was under the impression that you were defending the openness of liberals, not defending the openness of Fox. That said, I still think Fox is a long way from fair and balanced in its opinions. Interviewing Liberals doesn't mean you have no political agenda.

And by the way, after I've spent the last 4 pages criticizing Obama's decision not to appear on Fox, it does amuse me that you think I have Obama's dick in my ass!

I'm now hoping someone will call me right wing hack. I've come close to it in the past but have never quite yet been accused of being a rightwingnut and having Obama's dick in my ass in the same thread.

He wouldn't have people accusing him of ducking the tough interview.

While this may offend some of the FOX people, will not hurt his chances to get healthcare legislation passed.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A senior administration official confirms that President Barack Obama will appear on five Sunday morning talk shows this weekend. The president will sit down with CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Univision. The official said Obama will not be appearing on FOX.

He said himself, the if anyone spreads lies about OBAMACARE, they he would call them out. Well, here's a great opportunity. But you won't see our fearless (well, almost) leader on FOX News this weekend fielding questions about the healthcare reform or ACORN disaster. Why??? What a great chance he would have to address the LARGEST news audience with an interview on FOX. Chris Matthews is harmless. We're not talking about sitting him down with Hannity or another uncomfortable meeting with O'Rielly. It's Chris Matthews for Christ's sake!!! ACORN's leader isn't scared. She's brave enough to sit down with Chris on Sunday. And I'm sure he will ask her some pretty tough and to the point questions. But strangely, Obama seems to be a little affraid to put himself out there. I guess it's much easier to swim downstream.

I'm just curious why the man who promised transparency and bi-partisanship to all Americans won't give equal time to the ONE network that challenges the views and opinions of the left? I mean, if I had a chance to speak directly to the audience that seems to be the most vocal and entrenched, I'd be telling Univision that I will try to get to them next time.

Univision???? Seriously???? How very patético.

Maybe because FOX has already proven to everyone smart enough to understand, that thye have NO desire to report fairly or even report at all? If FOX wants to cry about it (which they have not to my knowledge), they will need to clean up their act first.

As opposed to CNN, which has absolutely no liberal leaning whatsoever, right?

Don't you think that the votes are pretty much etched in rock from our politicians? I know my congressman is a democrat, and he's voting no...why do I know this? I keep in contact with him.
