Why won't obama call out fox news???

Name the conservatives that give their POV's on ABC, CBS ,NBS, MSNBC and CNN.
Ummmmm....Uhhhhh...No, Robert Novak is dead.....Ummm...George Will...Yeah, that's one.

Does anyone watch Joe Scarborough's show??....That's two.

Ummmm.....No, John Stossel has now vanished into Fox Business Network......Uhhhh...Pat Buchanan.......that's three.

Can't think of any more right offhand.

Maybe because Fox news is the highest rated cable news in the nation and it would give Obama a chance to speak directly to those that are opposing his socialist agenda.
But I think he's just scared to fucking death of Fox News, afraid they'll pin him down on specifics and thats an area he's not comfortable with.

After statements like these, how can anyone even consider FOX or it's viewers as "Fair and Balanced"?

Isn't it an interviewer's job to ask questions that candidates or those in office find uncomfortable?[/QUOTE]

So you are suggesting that Obama should appear on Howard Stern?

This isn't a pissing contest. He's the President and all the major networks should have access to him. The same should be the case if it were a Republican in office.

I agree. I wonder why Dubya and DICK were so inaccessible?

If they were, it would be because they were trying to spin things the way that was most advantageous to their political agenda, I would guess.

So you agree he should appear on Fox, correct?

What would be the point?

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A senior administration official confirms that President Barack Obama will appear on five Sunday morning talk shows this weekend. The president will sit down with CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Univision. The official said Obama will not be appearing on FOX.

He said himself, the if anyone spreads lies about OBAMACARE, they he would call them out. Well, here's a great opportunity. But you won't see our fearless (well, almost) leader on FOX News this weekend fielding questions about the healthcare reform or ACORN disaster. Why??? What a great chance he would have to address the LARGEST news audience with an interview on FOX. Chris Matthews is harmless. We're not talking about sitting him down with Hannity or another uncomfortable meeting with O'Rielly. It's Chris Matthews for Christ's sake!!! ACORN's leader isn't scared. She's brave enough to sit down with Chris on Sunday. And I'm sure he will ask her some pretty tough and to the point questions. But strangely, Obama seems to be a little affraid to put himself out there. I guess it's much easier to swim downstream.

I'm just curious why the man who promised transparency and bi-partisanship to all Americans won't give equal time to the ONE network that challenges the views and opinions of the left? I mean, if I had a chance to speak directly to the audience that seems to be the most vocal and entrenched, I'd be telling Univision that I will try to get to them next time.

Univision???? Seriously???? How very patético.

Maybe because FOX has already proven to everyone smart enough to understand, that thye have NO desire to report fairly or even report at all? If FOX wants to cry about it (which they have not to my knowledge), they will need to clean up their act first.

You mean they should be more like Keith Olbermann, The ED Show and Rachel Maddow??? Yeah, FOX needs to clean up their act to be more like these objective journalists.

It is apparent that our future is going to be very bright when it comes to media.

I let you guys think about the whys on that one. But I doubt that the regular partisanship found in the media will last much longer. When the method of how they do the stories and the why's ever come out, it is pretty much over for network news.

I thought I'd already covered that.

I was thinking more along the lines of the folks on CNN. I do not watch Keith or Rachel.

Why appear on ANY news show? If you're not going to take questions from ALL sides, why bother?

You're never going to give a good reason for his avoidance of questions that a growing majority of people want to know the answers to. And if you're REALLY honest with yourself and this board, you'll admit that you know those questions will NOT be asked on Sunday. Some out edge grazing of the question might be thrown out there, but it won't be challenging enough to force BO to think before he pops off a canned answer.

Here's another idea. Since he will be om MULTIPLE networks on Sunday and EVERYONE who cares already knows this, why not simply change the channel to tune in?

Very simple, he has nothing to call them out on as they have accurately reported on the matter.

He doesn't want to go anywhere that wont parrot his message for him with out questioning it first.

If I was in obama's shoes i'd avoid fox too....it would hurt my agenda to answer tough questions about health care.

So far, you haven't given any reason for me to believe you are some right wing kook, so I suggest you start a new thread with the "questions that you KNOW will not be asked on Sunday" and let's see if we can debate them without calling anyone names. Deal?

I'd like to think so, but the networks catering to their audiences' political leanings is so profitable it would take some pretty major revelations across the board to kill that particular golden goose.

And who's going to tell the public about these scandals? The networks? :doubt:
