    Yes.. poor people. Of course.

And not just any poor people, the poor people that makes you feel good about applying judgement to ALL poor people.

Gambling isn't that surprising. It's a hugely alluring draw to allow somebody to change their standing in life, even though it's just yet another money making scheme to draw the money out of their pockets. Las Vegas is working as designed.

If anything you guys should be happy about this. It means the wealth that was "redistributed" to the poor people is now going back into the hands of the people who it was "stolen" from... like Casino owners

Talk about beting a dead hose?

    WELFARE is that horse.

This is a non-issue only a complete ignorant skinflint can appreciate.

    So....

IOW you are all right with taking my money when I cannot afford to go to any of these locations and giving it to poor people to take those vacations for me? Or have you no idea why this should not be happening?

As I have said before, you can solve most of this by running the welfare program like WIC. WIC is an amazingly good program because it does not give anyone a damn dime. ZERO cash. Instead, it gives you food. SPECIFIC food. I am fine with helping, I just want that money is for its intended purpose. That also give grate incentive to get off the program as well.

May I gather from your post that you completely ignored the thrust of the story which is welfare fraud and misuse of taxpayer resources?
How anyone could justify such a crime against the taxpayers is a fucking mystery.
If you or anyone else supports what is obviously a fleecing of taxpayers, you are just as bad as they.

Only an liberal( all libs are entitlement minded) would want this criminal behavior shoved under the rug.
BTW, the ones exposing this? None other than that ultra right wing newspaper, the LA Times.
You libs got shit on by your own media outlet. Ain't that a kick in the nads.

    I love paying my taxes.
    I love paying my bills.

I don't like the size of my taxes or my bills.

But here's the beauty of it... I've incurred these obligations either by virtue of being a U.S. citizen or by simply going about my daily life.

I have little to no control over my tax bill... although I do have the power to vote. I have the right to assembly and I have freedom of speech. Freedom of religion too. I own guns - lots of them. I have redress of grievance. I'm innocent until proven guilty. I have the right to defend my domicile.

I just flat out live in a peachy keen country and to me that's worth the taxes that I pay.

I've been poor, I've been rich, but right now I happen to be somewhere in between.
But I've always paid my taxes- and happily so.

SO you just blissfully fork over your dough and eschew any query of accountability?
Why bother voting then? You say you have the right to vote. Do you exercise that right? Every election?
Your post smacks of the same contentment, the same apathy that allows politicians the free rein to take our money from us and use it for their own purposes.
You stated you have redress. I submit you do not. If your attitude is so cavalier as to where your money goes why would you bother with said right to redress?

That is the key word that has allowed politicians to become so corrupt and law to become so convoluted.
