Ethics violations that cost him the position of Speaker of the House are mistakes & minor gaffes? You do realize this the UNITED STATES Congress?

I'm surprised it wasn't Sancto.
Didn't cost the President why would it cost him?

Didn't cost the President why would it cost him?
That's because MOST of Obama's past was squelched in '07/'08...
On purpose.
He still has YET to release his records.

Quite frankly, I don't expect him to release them this year either. So we need to just accept that and attack his record as President. Hold Him accountable for what he has done and what he wants to do this nation. We can beat him based on idealogy if we are focused. But my guess is he wants people distracted with him not releasing his record so he can try to marginalize us by claiming we are some conspiracy nutjobs.
He's easily the most intelligent person we would see on either side of the ticket this year, past mistakes and minor gaffes blown up by the media make it impossible for him to earn the nomination. Media picks Presidents, not the people.
Really? The media is the one that goes to the voting booths and casts millions of votes?
No, they just control the timing, the way and the 'spin' on information about those running.

Actually, Newt is the best debater by far. He is the most adept at backroom, cutthroat politics. And he probably understands more how Guvment works and doesn't work than any of the others. But is carrying far too much baggage to be taken seriously.
I agree with Jillian to a degree. Palin never does anything unless it will benefit her. I expect the worse thing that could happen for Palin's political future would be for Romney to wrap up the GOP nomination. She is hoping Newt can win some states in the south and create chaos in the Republican Party. Honestly, that is her only chance to have any influence at the convention.
Are you really surprised? The only one of the four republican candidates I would be surprised that she supported would be Ron Paul. She and the majority of the Tea Party people in my opinion, are neocon/social conservative republicans with a different name.

With the advent of "conservative" talk radio, Foxnews, conservative web sites, conservative social media, forums such as this, etc. that crap about blaming their losses on "the media" aka "LMSM" is weak and played out. Was "the media" to blame for the republican "2010 victory", how come "the media" didn't control that race?
i disagree with your second point because that could be said about any politician but your first point is very intriguing.
fair enough about my second point. i think some are more altruistic than others. but i see where you're coming from.
on the other hand though, If she really wanted the nomination why wouldn't she just run? She would pry be the front runner. I don't personally like her because I think her experience level is sub par but I think she'd still be the front runner.

I thought Ron Paul was one of the originators of the Tea Party movement? They share certain passions and ideals. Has the Tea Party morphed into just another muted segment of the Republican Party? It seems the fire and brimestone of the baggers has been replaced by a submissive passivity that is hardly leaving an image in any political poll. They are allowing a moderate at heart to grasp the golden ring of the GOP. There is no one from their ranks who is even remotely close to challenging Mitt.
IS THE TEA PARTY DEAD?

I agree, was it the liberal Media that got Bush elected 2x and a Republican congress...?
Because her nutty fundie religious beliefs make her hate Catholics and Mormons.
