I was going to try and explain how a public health systems work so well when used in conjunction with private health cover,as is the case with so manny other wealthy nations.eg.australia u.k. n.z. germany. but I cant be bothered.

The U.S has one of the most problematic and inaffective systems in the developed world.
When there is trouble in the health systems as stated above the politicians from these countries treaten that we will end up like the U.S.

Guys I love Americans I love and respect the incredible contributions that the U.S. makes to the world. I would not come over every year if I did not. re your health system. What I said is fact, you can walk into any hospital in Australia no matter who you are and be treated no questions asked. Obviously if there backed up emergencies get priority. If you require elective surgery and you have cover its your choice re. doctor, hospital, time. If no cover you have to wait a while. Also many private practices in all aspects of medicine are 100% subsidised for 100% of the popullation.

P.S. If it makes you guys feel better I cant help making constant comparisons between me, and Homer Simpson and people say I look a lot like Fred Flintstone.

This is not intended to offend, but he's correct. This threat is used at election time, budget time, and every other time some politician is trying to get everyone's collective attention. Common quote "if we don't put more money into health care, we're going to end up like American's....and you know what their health system is like". It works, people get scared, and the cuts are still approved.

This is a message board comprised of 'forums' devoted to particular subjects. If you don't like it here you are free to go elsewhere to do your complaining. Why do you return if it's 'not that good'? That makes no sense to me that someone would complain about the quality of this site and yet return here every day.
