Different hypotheses have been looked at for decades. None of the other solutions have fit the observations. AGW does. That's why almost every climate scientists on the planet accepts it. That is why it is a widely accepted theory.

The rotational poles, since the planet formed, have (and will) always received the least light energy per square meter. Thus, they will always be the coldest areas on the planet. The first place ice will form is at the poles. Always. If the Milankovitch cycle (the actual cause of ice ages) begins to reduce the Earth's solar warming, glaciation will begin at the poles and it will move towards the equator. The rotational equator will always be the last place to ice up and it would do so only in the case of a "snowball earth" situation. How far south the ice extends depends on the temperature and length of the cold period, but good hard data - the sort of thing LaDexter doesn't like to examine - clearly show glaciers considerably further south than 600 miles from the poles. Choosing to refuse to look at science and do all your thinking by yourself, in your own head in your mother's spare bedroom is NOT the way our knowledge of the universe is advanced.
