Why do only democrats oppose child sweatshops?

So you use an almost prehistoric "history" book to condemn an entire people?

'An entire people'?

So neonazis are 'an entire people' because they all base their views on Mein Kampf? :cuckoo:

Is this obtuseness willful or are you really this ignorant? Weren't you just bitching on another thread about truncating posts?
Honestly, you're dismissed.

Back before the housing bubble burst they were building nice subdivisions with child labor all over the place with Mexican children the Democrats want brought into the U.S.

So the Jews don't base their beliefs on the Torah?

What's good for the 1500s is good for 2010?

At least half of the US High School students would be far better off learning a trade than wasting their time in our public schools.

Public school did just fine for me. There are vocational programs available for students who want to focus on a trade. A few of my friends in HS went to the vo-tech. It's generally geared toward those entering the workforce directly after school, whereas regular high school is in preparation for higher learning and eventual entry into more advanced disciplines.

Then again, my school was one of the best in the state, and the state (New Jersey) is among the best in the union. Hence I could understand that my HS experience is not necessarily reflective of the nation as a whole.

Regular high school is preparation to be a ward of the State and a steady Democrat voter, totally fucking ignorant about our economic system, our history and our culture.

You've done a fine job fucking it up and that's why the Department of Ed need to disappear ASAP.

Easy. People have a right to their own existence which includes 'sweatshop owners' so they can operate their business any way they want as long as they don't endanger anyone else's property or lives in the process.

Awesome. What about slave-owners?

So you support sending children into mines?

Why do you use the quotes?

As for putting peoples' lives at risk- here're two examples of what we're talking about:

Kids die breaking BRIT vessels

Teen 'overworked to death' in jeans factory

While any of this makes me cringe, let's get real for a minute. My son worked in Uganda with the "Invisible Children". Many of these children had watched their families massacred and some had been forced to participate in their slaughter. These kids would love a job in a factory. Even if the conditions were "dangerous". We should not be forcing our own values on people who have nothing.

Let's try and distinguish between God and what people have claimed and written about Him and the Prophets, and People in his Name. We even do it today with Bush, with Obama, supporters putting the subject in the brightest light, detractors slinging as much mud as possible. It is part of the Human condition. What it is reflective of is the disconnect between Man and God, by our own hand or mouth. It doesn't change what is Righteous, it corrupts the claim and is actually testimony against the claim, for those that refuse to digest the Kool-Aid. ;)

The Torah, The Bible, are inspired by God, yet they fall short, because they were corrupted by men, both intentionally and unintentionally, by scribes that had to choose between loyalties and defend bad actions by people that were not perfect. Just because Someone claimed God told them to do or not do this or that, doesn't make it true. Be it Moses or Hitler, the killing of innocents is a hard thing to digest. Be it Mohammad, redefining who is an innocent, and who can't qualify, creating a loophole to murder, that just doesn't sit well either. All done in God's name??? Really??? Or was it done to attempt to Justify a wrong doing???

JB ... as much as you despise Locke, he saw through that, and based his whole philosophy on the two Great Commandments for that reason. Think more Deist. Search for the truth where it can be found, the treasures are hidden, in the sense that there are changes we all must go through to experience them. The Scriptures are a tool, filled with blessings and curses, keys and pitfalls. There are those limited by them and those that are not. This is not about hypocrisy, but overcoming obstacles in the way of growth. Do not blame God for what we do to each other, in His Name or not, with the Free Will We asked for. Consequence and Conscience are also both guides, when we are honest, we benefit.

You could start by returning Liberty Island to It's rightful owner.

New Jersey The only State that makes you look good is Louisiana. That's gonna change too Son.

About the only things I agree with Governor Patterson on, is his views on New Jersey.

America's Best High Schools: State-by-State Statistics - US News and World Report

It goes Connecticut, Mass, California, and New Jersey is 4th.

If you want to whip for conservatives and/or red states, better find something other than education to base your platform on.

I choose Federalism over Socialism and wish we would return to it.

Socialism/Unionism is very selective indeed in who benefits, and outside of that small circle of elites, the rest of us are screwed. It's always been that way. Taking from the achievers and transferring the wealth, power, and property from one group to another, under the banner of social Justice, which has also been perverted, to Bureaucrat's and Administrator's. The new Ruling elite. The outer circle, the buffer, the Union and Government union worker, the army that defends the throne at every one else's expense. Their is your entitlement in a nut shell. If these benefits are so great why are they not incorporated into State and National labor laws all of these years????? Why does the Government rely so much on Subcontracting that relies on a labor force denied these same benefits????? Seems hypocritical, or maybe the Governments can't afford to pay the unrealistic compensation that it pays it's own to the masses??? Socialism is the answer to our problems, I think not, or I think in name only. It may appear a pretty label to some, those that get more than they give. I'll chose a penny's worth of wheat for a penny, and an honest scale to weigh it every time. The thing about the Free Market, when it is really free, you can walk away, you can compete, you are free to devise a way to do something better, bigger, safer, when you don't have a corrupted government in collusion with big money obstructing you, obstructing remedy and the natural order. Trading one master for another, one form of oppression for another, is not the solution. Won't get fooled again.

The Oligarchy State-Connecticut is first (Follow the money).

The Kennedy Empire Wonderland Is Second, but on who's dime???

California is too big and needs to be broken up as soon as they can afford to, The Indoctrination State, great at putting out human droids. ;)

New Jersey, until You return Liberty Island and stop funding your excesses through the Port Authority and pay NY back with interest, talk to the hand.:lol:

Sorry, I don't speak in a representative capacity as the sole decision maker for the State of New Jersey, so I can't make that decision. Liberty Island is in New Jersey waters geographically, so I don't think you're going to get too far with your campaign.

Nevertheless, I don't even live in New Jersey anymore, but you did make a blatantly false insinuation that their schools were only good compared to Louisiana, which is utter nonsense. Neither did I suggest any reasons why any of the States on the list were as good as they are educationally - That's entirely your baby, and are irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Just busting your chain Tonto;). I wasn't comparing the schools but the corruption. Still would like to see the Teachers Unions get their distemper shots, neuter, and spade issues dealt with. I want the Palisades and Liberty Island annexed by New York, since we are making a list.

So you've rejected the Christian and Jewish positions and adopted the Muslim one?

If the documents aren't infallible,. then anything they claim that cannot be corroborated or otherwise supported does not withstand scrutiny- your entire religion falls apart.

Now, back to the subject at hand
