...could it be that he thought Hillary was going to win, so he didn't want the election questioned?

Seems unethical at best.

He told Trump to "stop whining".

Why didn't he give Hillary the same advice?

He said specifically that it's impossible to hack an American election because of how decentralized the process is.

Then he told Trump to stop whining about the election and get more votes.

It seems like Trump took Obama's advice.

Think about this. When Obama was speaking here, he already knew Russian was actively trying to hack the election.

Obama lied right to the faces of the American public because he thought Hillary was going to win.

Obama is a professional politician who is firmly in the permanent political class. He is going to do or say what is expedient at the time as he sees it, and it doesn't much matter whether he means it or not. If you like your insurance plan you can keep your insurance plan. If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Who can forget?

When it was assumed by most on the left, most especially the media, that Hillary's presidency was to be a coronation--a done deal--Obama certainly didn't want to create any doubt about that in anybody's mind that a fair and honest election didn't bring that about..

But the polls were wrong. The media was wrong. The leftist prognosticators were wrong. We have a President Trump now.

So of course it was rigged. (cough)

If I'm trump, I take this video and tell robert Mueller, not sure what you're investigating, the president of the US said there wasn't a hack and to move on. Seems reasonable to me.

no, that isn't correct, it can't be rigged. The president of the US said so. time to move on.

How ITF can we be this far into this and you still have this level of confusion on the subject?

Anyone claiming that Russia hacked the election is claiming that Obama lied.

Obama should testify before Congress and we should have a special prosecutor to look into what Obama knew and when he knew it.

Let's not forget, Obama collluded with Russia to win his reelection.

He told Putin's right hand man himself.

on an open mic. too funny. this is why the trump thing is such a laugh. these fking idiots don't know which way is up.

Let's consider who was trying to undermine the election by (1) paying thugs to break up Trump rallies (2) paying trolls to AstroTurf Reddit, Twitter and Facebook and "swarm" (their word not mine) opposition posters (3) collude with the media (4) spend 1 million dollars to "create echo chambers in the media" (5) work with party officials to steal a primary election.
No not the Russians. Or Martians or Pepe the Frog. The Democrats attacked our election process.

Perhaps for one time in his life, OBAMA WAS ACTUALLY telling THE TRUTH.
To this day THE American PUBLIC has not been shown one shred of evidence that Russia altered one vote even or even had an impact on The Election, and Zero Evidence has been shown at all that Russia did ANYTHING AT ALL.

Obama & Clinton were desperate to win the White House and preserve...

"Muh Legacy"

So they dreamed up The Russian Narrative with the help of Dr. Jean Camp and perpetrated a hoax on The American People in the midst of an election....and then added some Illegal Wiretapping, Unmasking, Leaking of Classified Information, a corrupt DOJ & FBI & a Witch Hunt in to the mix, to drag Hillary Clinton's Rotten Carcass across The Finish Line.

The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.

Some states have also recently seen scanning and probing of their election-related systems, which in most cases originated from servers operated by a Russian company. However, we are not now in a position to attribute this activity to the Russian Government. The USIC and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) assess that it would be extremely difficult for someone, including a nation-state actor, to alter actual ballot counts or election results by cyber attack or intrusion. This assessment is based on the decentralized nature of our election system in this country and the number of protections state and local election officials have in place. States ensure that voting machines are not connected to the Internet, and there are numerous checks and balances as well as extensive oversight at multiple levels built into our election process.

Nevertheless, DHS continues to urge state and local election officials to be vigilant and seek cybersecurity assistance from DHS. A number of states have already done so. DHS is providing several services to state and local election officials to assist in their cybersecurity. These services include cyber “hygiene” scans of Internet-facing systems, risk and vulnerability assessments, information sharing about cyber incidents, and best practices for securing voter registration databases and addressing potential cyber threats. DHS has convened an Election Infrastructure Cybersecurity Working Group with experts across all levels of government to raise awareness of cybersecurity risks potentially affecting election infrastructure and the elections process. Secretary Johnson and DHS officials are working directly with the National Association of Secretaries of State to offer assistance, share information, and provide additional resources to state and local officials.

Every word out of his mouth in his October 2016 speech was a lie, and he knew he was lying because he was told about Russia trying to hack the election in August.

Why didn't Obama do something about it when he found out in August?

He thought Hillary would win the election and it would all go away.

He ignored Russia trying to hack the election and lied to the American public about it to help out Hillary...who already had her deal on place with Loretta Lynch not to prosecute Hillary.

Fucking corrupt scumbags who should all be on trial for treason.

Well I wouldn't exactly have phrased it quite like that :), but your point is well taken that honesty and hypocrisy are pretty obvious to those willing to see it.

Those who see with partisan blinders on though will see dishonesty and hypocrisy everywhere whether it exists or not so long as what they see is on the wrong side of the ideological spectrum.
